Agentic coding tools are the biggest shift most senior leaders have seen in their careers, arguably bigger than the move from machine code to procedural languages. And where that change took decades, this one has taken just three years, with the biggest changes landing in the last twelve months. Many engineering organizations are still struggling to retrain the people they have, and are even further behind on hiring.
What attendees will learn:
- What skills and knowledge engineers need when AI writes most of the code: judgment, context-setting, catching what the agent gets wrong, and codifying rules for how it should operate.
- How to filter for and interview real candidates and what to give non-technical recruiters to help with initial screening.
- How to rebuild your interview process from scratch: what happened when one team redesigned interviews with no industry template to work from, and what that process revealed about testing judgment instead of recall.
- Where junior engineers fit in an AI-augmented organization, and how to select them and ramp them up.
- How other top organizations are assessing AI fluency across their teams, and what that signal is starting to replace.
This is a must-attend session for senior software leaders to get a pragmatic look at what it takes to hire well in the agentic era.
